The App 

The transfer of the Love Land Board Game into a mobile App is our current project.
Our vision is to make sexual and reproductive health unlimited accessible.
With the App we reach young people in an effective and age appropriate manner. 

How the original
board game works

 Love Land was originally developed for Swiss schools.
It was successfully introduced and later on tested all over the world with the proof that
it is easy applicable to different sociocultural environments.

PLAY IN TEAMS

Students build teams and travel from island to island to solve tasks together

LEARN AND WIN

The teams win points for gaining knowledge and skills to live a healthy sexual life style 

BREAK THE TABOO

The playful approach breaks taboos around sexuality and makes it easy to talk about it

Why the app?

Board game is NOT scalable

Even though Love Land is globally applicable, scaling up as well as updating and enhancing of the board game has proven to be difficult, e.g. too expensive and complicated distribution.

Distribution

The board game is facing enormous problems to be distributed in regard to costs and mail services, especially in developing countries.

Validity

In addition to the limited number of its islands, the board game cannot effectively be updated with relevant or additional contents.

Moderation

The quality of a game session is depending largely on a teachers entertaining skills and personal attitude.

Timeline

PHASE 1:
MVP DEVELOPMENT
6 MONTHS

Development of a playable Minimal Viable Product (MVP) based on experiences with the board game, as well as sketches and the game design document.
The MVP will be tested in Switzerland and South Africa with closed user groups (teenagers).
The testings will be performed by our Partner University Lugano, Switzerland.
Goal of the Study:
Evaluation of feasibility and motivation.

PHASE 2:
BETA VERSION
4 MONTHS

Adaptation of MVP based on results of study in South Africa and Switzerland to have a Beta Version of the app.
Additional testing with closed and open beta groups.

PHASE 3:
APPROVAL 
4 MONTHS

Extension of contents and languages of the app.
Fine-tuning and iterations, going from the Beta Version to the Final App.
Development of marketing and social campaign and submission to App stores (iOS & Android).

PHASE 4:
APP LAUNCH
4 MONTHS

Implementation of marketing and social media campaign.
Launch of the App in target markets.
